Children's Ministry

Hello and Welcome to Aldersgate UMC Molino.

My name is Kimberly Franklin; I am the children’s director at Aldersgate UMC. It is a church that feels like home. All the members of the church have been excited about the growth of the children and youth programs.

SUNDAY MORNINGS...

WHO: children ages 6 weeks - 5th grade

WHEN: 8:15 AM

WHERE: Fellowship Hall

WHAT: Breakfast... we usually have pancakes or eggs. Some mornings by request we have something different.

After breakfast there is Sunday School from 9:45-10:45 AM.

Children’s Church meets in the nursery courtyard. We sing, pray, have an activity, and weather permitting, end on the big playground.

This summer we are going to launch a Parent’s Morning Out and a Parent’s Night Out. The new activities will help us get to know our community.

Tuesday morning:  9:00 AM -1:00 PM.

Friday night:  5:00 PM -10:00 PM; June 7th & 28th, and July 12th & 26th will be Parent’s Night Out.

I believe this is going to give us more time to teach God’s word and to put it into action.

The goal for these activities is for us to share the love of Christ with families and to serve our community.

In the past, we have held VBS and it is always such a fun and exciting event.  I am hoping to spread that excitement out through the whole summer and build lasting relationships, in Jesus’ name.

Parent's Morning Out: Tuesdays 9:00 AM -1:00 PM

Ages: 6 weeks - (incoming) 5th grade.

This opportunity will give kids time with friends, to play, stay engaged, and learn how to serve each other. Tuesday morning will be something that brings joy to your and your kid’s mornings. I am excited to teach the Gospel. In every book of the Bible, God shares His love.  I look forward to teaching His word through the curriculum: “The Gospel Project”.  During the morning, there will be games, crafts (to take home or decorate the church), a lesson, and vegetable and fruit snack. (If you would like your child to have something different, please provide a lunch box with child’s name).

On our first Tuesday, June 4, 2019, I would like the parents to check in their children, at the back of the church, through the single door in the large Sunday School room. After that, there will be a short meeting in the Fellowship Hall. This will allow me to meet the parents, for the parents to greet each other, and answer a few questions. This will last from 9:00 - 9:30 AM.  Afterwards parents may depart until pick up. Take this time to catch up with your Bible studies, homework, or join a small group.

Parent’s Night Out: Friday June 7th and 28th; July 12th and 26th;           5:00 PM -10:00 PM.   Ages: 6 weeks - (incoming) 5th grade.

Parents night out is going to be put on by our youth. It is an opportunity for them to earn money for their trips.

Every relationship needs quiet time. Take this opportunity to enjoy yourselves with those around you, whether it's dinner, a walk, quiet home time… whatever you choose. You will check in your child at the front of the sanctuary. The youth will host games and worship from 5:00 - 5:45. Dinner will be provided from 6:00 - 7:00; after that the kids will depart for a Bible activity and games until 8:30 PM. We will wrap the night up with a movie and popcorn.

What to bring:

$25/1 child, $40/2 children, $50/3 or more.

Blanket (to sit on for movie)
